Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University (ALKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan came together with the Alanya press at breakfast and gave the good news of new projects.
Rector Türkdoğan said, “Alanya is one of the most prominent districts archaeologically and excavations are continuing in many areas. "As ALKÜ, we are planning to open a department on museology in order to play a more active role in these studies." said. Stating that they are also planning to open a faculty in the field of maritime, Rector Türkdoğan stated that they conveyed their opinions on this issue to YÖK. Rector Türkdoğan continued his speech; “The construction of our Cikcilli Campus continues. Classes have started in our Central Classrooms and Offices building in our Kestel Campus, and we will open the offices section soon. We are planning to build a Central Library in our Kestel Campus in accordance with the Seljuk Architecture. The electricity needs of the entire campus will be met with the solar energy system. At the same time, we will save 15 percent with this project. "We are starting this project soon and we will succeed in becoming one of the first universities in Turkey." he said.
Rector Türkdoğan said, “ALKÜ will be the center of tourism and health.”
Rector Türkdoğan continued his speech in which he announced the ALKÜ Projects, and gave the good news of new projects to be carried out in the field of tourism and health. Stating that the tourism faculty building and practice hotel will be built among ALKÜ's goals, Rector Türkdoğan said, “Among our goals, we are considering building the ALKÜ Tourism Faculty building and practice hotel. We would like to present this project to Alanya with former Minister of Foreign Affairs and AK Party Deputy Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu. We will build a beautiful tourism faculty and practice hotel in Alanya, the center of tourism. In addition, our projects for the development of ALKÜ Guest House and the Faculty of Dentistry continue. Our work to transform Konaklı Congress Center into the Faculty of Dentistry building continues.
Our rector has mega projects related to ALKÜ. Projects that will change the identity of Alanya. Why shouldn't Alanya become an Oxford? Alanya is a magnificent place with its nature and history. University is as important as tourism. "I think the more we develop ALKÜ, it will be very beneficial for the identity of Alanya," he said.
