Gazipasa region is located on a narrow coast between the Mediterranean Sea and the high Taurus Mountains of Turkey, where prehistoric animal fossils (marine animals) found at the highest points of the mountains are Decayed. Gazipasa is far from Antalya and it is difficult to reach because the coastal road is narrow and winding. The rocky hills are full of numerous snakes, scorpions and other dangerous wild animals. it stretches along a 50-kilometer coastline and has a central beach suitable for swimming in the city of Alanya.
The local economy is based on agriculture. The land along the coast is used to grow fruits and vegetables, mainly citrus fruits and bananas, and in recent years a number of greenhouses have been built for the year-round production of crops such as cucumbers, strawberries and artichokes. Cereals are grown and animals are grazed in the mountains.
